Whether physical or digital, violence poses threats to children’s well-being, with profound implications for their mental health. Other mental health challenges including anxiety and depression, are on the rise and compounded by societal pressures, academic stress, and exposure to trauma.

Access to healthcare varies widely, leading to health inequities among children. Malnutrition, lack of immunization, and inadequate medical care contribute to preventable health issues and further compound the struggles faced by vulnerable children.

The Way Forward

Although not often highlighted, children are vulnerable to the impacts of environmental degradation and climate change. Issues like pollution, natural disasters, and resource depletion can adversely affect their health and living conditions and widen the already existing health disparities.
